Hello and I am truly so glad that you are here! I’m passionate about telling real stories through photography, getting to know who you are, and capturing the moments that truly matter. I believe the best photographs come from genuine connection, not stiff poses. I’m here to be more than just your photographer – I want to be someone who cares deeply about your story and is excited to document this chapter of your life.
I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t always plan-A. I originally pursued a career in the music industry and moved to Nashville before feeling called away from a job in the entertainment industry. After transferring colleges and completely pivoting to study environmental science at a tiny school in WNC, I found I still longed for a creative outlet and decided to take my longstanding photography hobby more seriously. Fast forward to 2021, I graduated with a STEM diploma and a full-time wedding photography business.
Now, over five years in, I never get tired of the honest, unexpected moments that tell real-life love stories. I believe photographs are a way of preserving history — not just how a day looked, but how it felt. My work is shaped by a love for nature, old architecture, and the quiet, lived-in beauty of film. I’m most inspired by what’s real and lasting, and I aim to document wedding days with the same sense of meaning + purpose as a photojournalistic historian.
I live in the mountains of North Carolina with my high school sweetheart husband, Jacob, and our very spoiled golden retriever pup, Nash. When I’m not behind the camera, you'll find me baking a sourdough treat, gardening, hiking, sipping a cappuccino at a coffee shop, and hosting friends and family in our home — there’s nothing I love more than creating a space where people feel known and loved.
My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything I do. I serve a creative God who is the author of beauty, connection, and redemption — and it’s out of that truth that I create. I believe every person is made in His image, deeply loved, and deserving of being treated with care and dignity. That belief shapes the way I photograph, the way I serve, and the way I tell your story. It’s my prayer that your experience through Anna Fletcher Photography reflects the grace, love, and intentionality of the One who made you.
I’m a homemaker by nature. I love creating spaces where people feel welcome and at home. I am drawn to the coziness and familiarity that being somewhere comfortable brings. I want my work to feel the same way. I want you to feel welcome and wanted here. I want this to be a place where you feel safe and free to be yourself. A place where you can metaphorically kick your shoes off at the front door, snuggle up with a blanket on the couch, and snack on a homemade cookie.
The thing that I think is so unique about “home” is that it catches people in their everyday, mundane lives. But that’s the thing – nothing about living is mundane. The gift of living is so extraordinary and I think that every life, with all of it’s little details, deserves to be remembered. That’s why I think documentation through photography is so important – it takes fleeting moments that happen in everyday life and encapsulates them in something that lasts forever: a photograph.
When I'm not documenting love stories, you can find me thrifting, enjoying a honey cappuccino at a local coffee shop, baking sourdough, or tending to my garden.
Before becoming a wedding photographer, I went to school for music business and environmental science! While I didn't end up in a career in either of these fields, both music and sustainability are still passions of mine!
My favorite part of a wedding day to capture is the first few minutes after a couple walks back up the aisle of their ceremony – there is truly nothing sweeter than the post-"I do" joy and giddiness!
A few of my favorite music artists are Penny & Sparrow, Hozier, Birdtalker, and Taylor Swift.
Jesus is the foundation of my life and business. It is my ultimate goal to love others as He loves and glorify Him in everything I do! My husband and I moved to join a church plant in early 2023 and have loved every minute of it!
Do we have anything in common?! Let me know in your inquiry!
My + my husband's life goal is to visit every national park in the U.S.! We have been to nine so far and have another five planned for 2025!
