Winter Styled Shoot in Raleigh, NC
This past January, I had the opportunity to work alongside Madison Leigh M. Photography in creating a super fun styled shoot with some incredible NC vendors. Our vision for the shoot was whimsical and magical with a touch of winter wonderland. The Meadows Raleigh was the perfect venue for our shoot and it’s definitely one of my new favorite venues in NC! They have so many different ceremony, reception, and getting ready areas for any style of wedding! From open fields of golden grass, to industrial style, to vintage & classic, to whimsical & woodsy – they have something for every couple! If you’re searching for a perfect wedding venue in a quaint and quiet area (that’s still not too far from the city) I highly recommend checking out The Meadows!
The day started by seeing up at Drew & Leanna’s house so that Leanna could get her hair and makeup done. (Side note – they have the CUTEST little home and I need Leanna to help me make my house as cute as hers is, haha!) Patti of Peach Cowgirl Beauty created the most beautiful natural-glam makeup look, and TaylorAnne (Hair by TaylorAnne) styled Leanna’s hair in a gorgeous half-up half-down updo! Patti and TaylorAnne are both so talented and would make the perfect HMUA team on your wedding day! We had the best time chatting, drinking coffee, and getting ready for the exciting day ahead.
The Details
Kaleh Sampson Designs truly knocked it out of the park with stationary & detail styling!! If you’re looking for someone incredibly talented and intentional with an exceptional eye for design to create your wedding stationary, I cannot recommend Kaleh enough! She came to the venue on-site with her styling kit to create the most stunning flat lays that I have ever captured. What’s even better?! She offers this styling service to her couples on their wedding day, too! If your wedding details are important to you, you cannot get better than Kaleh!
Jewelry Authority provided us with the most STUNNING pieces too! They sell estate jewelry, which I highly recommend if you’re looking for gorgeous, unique pieces that are also more affordable and ethical than purchasing your wedding jewelry from a big-box diamond store, I highly recommend checking them out!
The dress and hairpiece that our beautiful model wore are both from a sweet local Raleigh shop, A&Bé bridal! They just opened up a new Raleigh location in Carey. They carry designers such as Madi Lane, The Label, Made With Love, and SO many more! They have styles for every bride and are truly the best people to work with, too! I highly recommend them as you’re searching for your perfect dress!

It may look warm and golden in these photos, but it was absolutely FREEZING outside when we went to take the photos of Drew & Leanna! I was wearing four layers, boots, and a hat, and was still so cold! Leanna was absolutely a trooper in her dress and still looked gorgeous in spite of the wind chill being below freezing. To my photographer friends – Drew and Leanna are some of the best people ever and so so good at what they do! I think I complained more about the cold than they did, which is so crazy! They absolutely rocked it and were down to do whatever it took to get the most amazing photos!
We finished up the night by heading over to one of The Meadows’ stunning ceremony spots, the wooded chapel! Brushed by Bec provided the most stunning arbor piece and bouquet for the day. I’ve gotten to work with her for weddings in the past and have a few booked alongside her this year, and she is SO so talented and such a joy to work with!
The Cupcake Shoppe Raleigh provided us with the cake and some delicious mini-cupcakes that we snacked on throughout the day. They had so many different flavor combinations and each one was delicious!
